Initially, we are excited with the assignment, however, somewhere along the lines of doing this great work, we get weary. Sometimes I get tired in the Lord's work, but I never get tired of the Lord's work. One of the things I pray to the Lord daily, is doing all the things assigned to me to the glorification of His name only. I also pray to God for joy while doing it. I never want to do an assignment with the wrong heart, selfish intentions or just because I have too. The work of the Lord is good, so if it’s good, why should I be weary doing it? For many of us, God has given an assignment with a promise attached. We must make a conscious decision each day to not be weary in well doing. God has chosen you to do a mighty thing and we should rejoice doing it. During the times when you don’t understand how something is going to get done, don’t get weary. I know it’s not always easy as I’m learning myself to have joy in the Lord and to trust him completely; however, know that before God has given you your assignment, He has worked everything out for your good and He has prepared you for every good work.
There are sacrifices we make as Believers. There are things we lose. They will be relationships that will fade away. There are persecutions we face. There are hardships we endure. But we must be firmly rooted in this, God is not a God who shall lie. The Bible states “let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up” (Galatians 6:9) Don't be weary in reading your Bible and seeking to live by what it teaches. Don't be weary in praying for your family, and friends. Don't be weary in sharing your faith with others. Don't be weary in serving the Lord with the gifts that God has given you. Don't be weary because there is a due season,…it is promised. And you will reap if you don't give up.
God keeps careful records, and He promises to reward us for our faithfulness.

Heavenly Father,
I come to You now in the Name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ laying my burdens before Your feet. Every disappointment, every discouragement and every ounce of weariness, I give to you. I ask that you save me, and strengthen me. I know you abide in me. You O God, are my Rock. When my spirit grows weary, let Your Word and Spirit, revive me again. I call daily upon Your blessed Holy Name; let not my faith and trust in You be put to shame. You see the cracks in my armor of faith, but You are merciful. In my weakest places, You insert Your strength. When I feel alone, you send your messengers to remind me that You are Jehovah Shammah – The God who is there. When I have no energy, no words to pray, You pray for me. You prompt others to seek You on my behalf. You are the initiator and perfecter of my faith. I open myself to receive Your goodness and mercy as You allow circumstances to help me know You even more. Send Your light into the chambers of my mind. Grow me so that in emotional darkness, I can enjoy the never ending light that comes from You. When I pass through the waters, You will are with me, even through the rivers, they will not overtake me because you are with me. When I walk through the fire, I will not be burned.
I will not be dismayed, for You are my God according to Isaiah 41:10. I will wait upon You Lord and You will renew our strength. I will mount up with wings as eagles. I will run and not be weary. I will walk and not faint according to Isaiah 40:31. I will not be afraid or dismayed by reason of the great multitude. The battle is not mine but Yours according to II Chronicles 20:15. I celebrate that You are the mighty God, loving me, and helping me. I pray these things confidently in the name of Jesus our Lord. Amen
